Who am I??
My name is Shirley Huang, and I am 16 years old sophomore and I am currently attending International Studies Academy High School.
I was immigrating from China in 2004 to Grand Junction, CO. I was attending to Bookcliff Middle School for my 7th and 8th grade. After one and a half year that I finished middle school, I moved to San Francisco,CA.
I like to learn English because I am very interest in different kinds of language. Especially English, Japanese, and Korean.
I have a chance to immigrant to United States, I am very happy. Because I have a chance to study right here, and I think this is the most important things that why my parents immigrant here.
As you know that English is not my primary language. So during the time when I came, I don't know much about English. I can't speak English like Chinese. So that was my big challenge. I started school a fews weeks after I came. In that middle school I attended, I am the only Chinese. No one could translate to me. So I use a little computer dictionary to translate word to word into Chinese. Also I have a very nice English teacher that always help me. I learned many English from her and a few months I could speak English some fluent.
